When we partnered with Engineers in Action (www.engineersinaction.org), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved communities through sustainable infrastructure, we saw an opportunity to create more than a website. We set out to build a digital home that reflects their mission, inspires donors, and strengthens their global reach.
The Challenge: A Website That Matches Their Mission
Engineers in Action’s work spans continents—from rural South America to remote regions in Africa. Their projects are driven by collaboration, compassion, and technical excellence. Yet, their previous website didn’t fully convey the scale or spirit of their impact.
Our goal was clear: rebuild the site from the ground up to showcase their mission while making it easier for visitors to engage, donate, and get involved.

We rebuilt the website entirely on Squarespace, implementing the organization’s new brand guidelines while enhancing both usability and visual storytelling. Every design decision was guided by two principles—clarity and connection.

Overcoming the Technical Hurdles
While Squarespace offers flexibility, pushing its limits required custom coding and creative problem-solving. We developed solutions to:
Expand beyond default templates to achieve a unique layout and user flow.
Integrate third-party plug-ins without compromising site speed or design consistency.
Optimize the site’s architecture for both accessibility and scalability.
Our toolkit included Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva to craft brand-consistent visuals—ensuring every icon, banner, and photo harmonized with Engineers in Action’s refreshed identity.
