The Challenge

Engineers in Action needed a website that could properly represent the scale and impact of their global mission. Their work supports underserved communities through sustainable infrastructure projects across regions in South America and Africa, yet their previous digital presence did not fully communicate the organization’s reach, professionalism, or humanitarian impact.

The existing website also created limitations in terms of user engagement, storytelling, navigation, and overall accessibility. Visitors were not interacting with the platform as effectively as they could, which affected important areas such as donations, volunteer applications, and overall website interaction.

Another challenge involved pushing beyond the limitations of Squarespace in order to create a more custom and scalable experience without sacrificing performance, responsiveness, or accessibility.

The Solution

At Creativo Rock, we completely redesigned the Engineers in Action digital experience with a strong focus on storytelling, user experience, and conversion focused design.

Using a combination of Squarespace, DavinciResolve, custom coding, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva, we developed a cleaner and more strategic website structure designed to improve navigation, accessibility, and visitor engagement across all devices.

We rebuilt the platform from the ground up with a more modern visual direction that better reflects the organization’s professionalism, authenticity, and global impact. Through improved layouts, stronger calls to action, and more emotionally driven visuals, the new website creates a clearer connection between the organization and its audience.

Custom development solutions allowed us to expand beyond standard Squarespace limitations, integrating additional functionality and improving the overall user flow while maintaining a consistent and polished visual identity throughout the site.

The redesign also focused heavily on optimizing how users interact with the platform by making it easier to explore projects, learn about the mission, donate, volunteer, and connect with the organization.

The Results

The new Engineers in Action website became a stronger and more effective platform for community engagement, digital storytelling, and nonprofit growth.

The redesigned experience led to stronger overall interaction with the website, helping increase visitor engagement, page exploration, and user retention across multiple sections of the platform.

The improved structure, cleaner navigation, and more impactful visual storytelling contributed to better visibility for the organization’s work while creating a more intuitive experience for visitors interested in supporting the cause.

The platform also helped strengthen the organization’s ability to attract new volunteers, encourage donations, and generate greater interest around their international initiatives.

Most importantly, the project established a more professional and scalable digital foundation capable of supporting future campaigns, partnerships, fundraising efforts, and long term organizational growth.
